San Juan River in the Fall

The Famous San Juan River

The San Juan River is located in Navajo Dam, New

Mexico.   With year round water temperatures between 42

and 46 degrees, the Juan is a trout fisherman's dream.  With Rainbow and Brown trout averaging 17-18", you have the chance to hook a fish of a lifetime.  Fish from 22-25" are

landed daily and these fish know how to fight.

The quality waters section of the river is catch and release only.  With runs famously named " ESPN Hole, Upper Flats, Texas Hole, Three Island Run, The Braids and Baetis Bend "  there is varied terrain to nymph, throw dry flies and streamers.
